A tanulmány a jelentősebb határon túli magyar etnikai pártok és az adott magyar közösség közötti kapcsolatot elemzi a választói mozgósítás és támogatás szempontjából országos, valamint regionális szinten, idősoros adatok felhasználásával. A bemutatott eredmények megerősítik és egységes keretbe foglalják a legjelentősebb határon túli magyar pártok országos és regionális társadalmi támogatottságáról meglévő ismereteinket, s az egyes mutatók értékeinek együttes ábrázolásával még szemléletesebbé teszik az MKP, az RMDSZ és a VMSZ eltérő fejlődési pályáját, támogatottságának területi dinamikáját. | Using time-series data, the study examines the relationship between Hungarian communities abroad and the major Hungarian ethnic parties focusing on voter mobilization and political support both at national and regional level. The results consolidate and expand our understanding of the patterns of national and regional social support for the most prominent Hungarian parties beyond Hungary’s borders, and by presenting the values of the individual indicators side by side, it makes the different development path and territorial dynamics of the MKP, RMDSZ and VMSZ even more visible.
