Jelen tanulmányban szeretnémmegvizsgálni az angol jogrendszerszerződésfogalmát. Az angol jog az európai jogrendszerekhez képest eltérő fejlődésiutat járt be, ezért nekünk, kontinentális jogászoknak tanulságos lehet azangol jogi megoldások vizsgálata.A tanulmányom készítése során azt a módszert választottam, hogy megkerestem az angol jogrendszer szerződésről szóló definícióit, az ehhez kapcsolódó fogalmakat, majd a releváns joganyagot és a bírósági joggyakorlatot tekintettem át. Ennek keretében igyekeztem az angol jog történelmi fejlődését is figyelembe venni.Jelen írássegítséget nyújthat abban, hogy egy, a magyartól eltérő jogrendszerben a magánjog dogmatikájának központjában álló jogintézményt elméletben és gyakorlatban miképpen lehet értelmezni. | In this paper, I examine the concept of contract in the English legalsystem. English law has followed a different path of development compared to European legalsystems,so it may be instructive for us, continental lawyers, to examine English legal solutions. In the course of preparing my work, Istudied the definitions of contract in the English legal system, and of related concepts, and then reviewed the relevant laws and precedents. I also tried to take into account the historical development of English law. This article hopefully contributesto understanding how a legal institution that is at the center of the dogmatics of private law in a legal system so different from the Hungarian one can be interpreted in theory and practice.
