For years, the Bachelor of Business Administration and Management in Economics has been one of the most popular courses among students applying for higher education. According to the data of the Graduate Career Tracking System, graduates of this degree program prefer to work in accounting and finance. The present study is based on questionnaire surveys. One of these is „The Requirements and Expectations” survey launched in 2019 and the other is the TDK research on the future of the accounting profession launched in 2022. Based on the results of the research, we present the current and future labour market expectations, preparedness for employment, and attitudes towards the accounting profession of students of Bachelor of Business Administration and Management. The research is a niche in the sense that it examines economics students in a sectorspecific way and reveals their attitudes in a professional context, thus providing a previously unknown, up-to-date body of information that is useful also for education and HR.
