The road-system of Szeged was modernized after the flood at 12 March in 1879 by reconstruction. Boulevard, avenue system is suitable for the reception of the huge amount of highway traffic in the XXI. century as well. From the beginning of XX. century, modem tramway network, then bus traffic have been supported the transport of local citizens. Because of the city’s position from the ‘60 the amount of local and transit traffic have been increased as well as pollution outlet. Szeged city’s geographical location is unfavourable from the pollution forward transportation point of view. City designers had increased the amount of green areas parallel with panel programmes. To reduce the effect of air pollution 50000 ornamental trees and 300 hectare green areas are maintained.
