This paper aims to investigate the effect of deformed carbon fibers in an unidirectional CFRP layer on material homogenization. The presented homogenization process is based on an existing method that is extended for ellipse-shaped and rolled filaments. The investigated case, when all the filaments are deformed and rotated the same, is more theoretical than practical - but considering these parameters as averaged deviations from the ideal case - the results are useful for a detailed analysis of the inner structure of the CFRP layer.
