Dolgozatom legfontosabb tézise az az egyszerű állítás, hogy a hittanóráknak a tárgyából fakadóan teret kell biztosítania a tanulói kérdéseknek, s a hitoktatás tartalmához illeszkedő szemlélettel kell építenie azokra. S bár ez az állítás első hallásra egyszerűnek és magától értetődőnek tűnhet, mégis empirikus kutatások és személyes tapasztalatok mutatnak rá arra, hogy a tanulói kérdés a hittanórán nem természetes és nem gyakori jelenség, és ha megjelenik is, nehezen épít rá a hitoktatást végző személy. Ezért azt vizsgálom meg, hogy a hittanóra témájából, a Bibliából kiindulva mit jelent a kérdés a hittanórán, milyen örökséget hordozunk a hitoktatásban, milyen következménye lesz a kérdezésnek a tanulásra nézve, s miként lehet a kérdezés feltételeit megteremteni a hittanórán. / The most important thesis of my dissertation is the simple statement that a Religious Education (RE) class, by its very nature, should provide space for students' questions and build on them with an approach appropriate to its content. And although this statement may seem simple and self-evident at first sight, empirical research and also my personal experience show that student questions in the RE classroom are neither natural nor common. Therefore, in this dissertation I explore what questioning means in the RE classroom when starting from the Bible as the theme of confessional RE, what heritage we carry from the earlier practices of the church, what approach is conducive to questioning in the classroom, how we should interpret questioning in RE, what consequences questioning will have for learning, and how the conditions for questioning can be created in the RE classroom.
