A keresztény vallásosság kérdése mindig is az érdeklődés középpontjában állt a kereszténység egész folyamán. A helyes, azaz Krisztushoz illő keresztény gyakorlat keresése nemcsak a keresztények, hanem az őket körülvevő világ igénye is volt. Nem tagadható, hogy a keresztény felfogás szerinti értelmes élet célja nemcsak a helyes magatartást foglalta magában, hanem valójában sokkal inkább rendszerezte a kérdés megválaszolására irányuló törekvés: mit jelent kereszténynek lenni?/The question of Christian piety has always been in the center of interest througout the entire course of Christianity. The quest for proper, that is, Christ-fitted Christian practice was not only the need of Christians but also of the world that surrounded them. It cannot be denied that the purpose of meaningful life according to the Christian understanding included not only the right conduct but, in fact, was much more systematized by the quest for answering the question: what does it mean to be a Christian?
