Changes in the level of plant invasion over a decade were examined in Kiskunság in 5 habitat types: semi-natural open and closed grasslands, and old fields abandoned for 1-7, 8-20 or 21-57 years, respectively. Absolute and relative species number and cover of alien plants were compared. The four most common invasive species in the region were assessed individually. Young old-fields had the most, while grasslands and aged old-fields the least alien plants. The level of invasion did not change.
