A nemzetközi kutatási projekt hazai eredményeinek ismertetése szorosan illeszkedik az aktuális európai klímapolitikához. Figyelemre méltó, hogy az elért eredmények továbblépnek a célszerű intézkedések elvi felsorolásán azzal, hogy egy vizsgált áruszállítási folyosó két helyszínének bemutatása mellett ismertté válnak a szükséges lépések, amelyek megtételével a zöldebb árufuvarozás felé teendő változtatások feltételei létrejönnek.
One of the links between European environment and transport policy is the potential for reducing emissions from the freight transport sector. The goal is to make the logistics and transportation industry greener. With this objective, the European Union has set up several dedicated initiatives. The CORCAP project, which deals with the regional development of the European transport network, focuses on improving connections between German seaports and the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. The new strategies and action plans developed in the course of the project will help to exploit new, environmentally friendly opportunities for regional development and logistics. In addition, by supporting energy reduction, they mitigate adverse environmental impacts by prioritizing environmentally friendly modes of transport.
Einer der Anschlussbereiche zwischen europäischer Umwelt- und Verkehrspolitik sind die Emissionsminderungspotenziale des Güterverkehrssektors. Ziel ist es, die Logistik- und Transportbranche grüner zu machen. Mit diesem Ziel hat die Europäische Union mehrere zielgerichtete Projekte ins Leben gerufen. Das CORCAP-Projekt, das sich mit der regionalen Entwicklung des europäischen Verkehrsnetzes befasst, konzentriert sich auf die Verbesserung der Verbindungen zwischen deutschen Seehäfen und Tschechien, der Slowakei und Ungarn. Die im Projekt entwickelten neuen Strategien und Aktionspläne werden dazu beitragen, neue, umweltfreundliche Möglichkeiten für Regionalentwicklung und Logistik zu erschließen. Darüber hinaus mildern sie durch die Unterstützung der Energieeinsparung die negativen Umweltauswirkungen, indem sie umweltfreundlichen Verkehrsträgern den Vorrang geben
