A nyílt tudomány pénzügyi vonatkozásai

A tudományos világban egyre több szó esik a nyílt tudományról (open science) és annak társadalmi és kutatási hasznosságáról. Magyarországon 2021 októberében a Nemzeti Kutatási Fejlesztési és Innovációs Hivatal (NKFIH) vezetésével 12 hazai szakmai szervezet fogalmazott meg a nyílt tudományra vonatkozó állásfoglalást, ami a téma hazai fontosságát jelzi.A nyílt tudomány előnyei gyakran megjelennek a szakirodalomban: a kutatási eredmények hozzáférhetősége, ellenőrizhetősége, felhasználhatósága egyértelműen hozzájárulnak a tudomány fejlődéséhez. Ez vizsgálható a letöltések/megtekintések számával vagy a hivatkozások számának növekedésével.Viszonylag kevesebb szó esik azonban arról, hogy a nyílt tudomány milyen pénzügyi ráfordítást igényel, illetve mekkora megtérülés remélhető a „hagyományos” kutatási módszerekhez képest. Az előadásban az eddigi kutatási eredmények alapján elemezzük az open access publikálás költségeit, az egyedi azonosítók használatának pénzügyi vonatkozásait, a nyílt tudomány egyes infrastrukturális kérdéseihez szükséges ráfordításokat. There is more and more talk in the scientific world about open science and its social and research benefits. In October 2021, 12 Hungarian professional organizations, led by the National Research, Development and Innovation Office (NKFIH), signed a position paper on open science, which indicates the importance of the topic in Hungary.Benefits of open science are regularly discussed in the literature: the accessibility, reproducibility, and usability of research results clearly contribute to the development of science. This can be easily studied by using the number of downloads/views or the increase in the number of citations.However, there is relatively less talk about the financial costs of open science and the expected return of investment compared to ‘traditional’ research methods. In the presentation, based on the research results so far, we analyse the costs of open access publishing, the financial implications of the use of persistent identifiers (PIDs), and the expenditures required for certain infrastructural issues in open science. https://doi.org/10.31915/NWS.2022.1
