Tartalmi leírás:
Hate crimes received more significant attention in the past decade than ever before because hate crime is – unfortunately – a daily reality throughout the world and also affects the Hungarian society. According to the relevant international and national studies, professionals from various fields agree that the key to improving the response to hate crimes lies in reforming the basic education of police officers. The aim of the handbook is to raise awareness and to help users to better understand and identify issues in police attitudes. The teaching material discusses hate crime in great details. The content of the handbook is based on EU initiatives in the law enforcement field. The author summarises and utilises the results gained from own experiences of research-related activities in various projects, workshops, conferences, seminars and working group meetings.
