Birth of a Database - Presentation of the self-developed database “Bibliography of Hungarian Specialist Dictionaries and Lexicons”The article introduces the birth and the operation of a unique Hungarian database, which contains specialist dictionaries and lexicons of several scientific areas. It describes how it can be used from user- and administrator point of view. I also tried to position it in a historical background as well. The purpose of the collection was to take stock of all works (monolingual, bilingual,multilingual) which list the vocabulary of a particular field and which (were):- published in Hungary;- not published in Hungary, but has a Hungarian author;and- Works called dictionaries are also the subject of collection, e.g. manuals with adictionary-like appendix.- One of the languages must be Hungarian.Keywords: specialist dictionaries, lexicons, bibliography, database, terminologyhttps://doi.org/10.31915/NWS.2020.5
