Tartalmi leírás:
Does exist or not a continuity in the Hungarian philosophical thought? Or is every thinker condemned to be forgotten, underrated and ignored? These are the main questions of our study. It is evident for us that Hungarian philosophy is present in the Hungarian culture since the 19th century. But from what kind of depth could count a national philosophy as independent, authentic one in the European context? Could only the important nations have their own philosophy, or even the little nations could have, too? In the famous Hungarian and Transylvanian thinker Károly Böhm’s opinion the philosophy is a “Welt- und Lebensanschauung” and his central element is considered the axiology. The other Hungarian thinker, Gyula Kornis analyses the 19th century debate between the practicity of the Hungarian national philosophy and the theoretical philosophy inspired in Hungary by Hegel. In József Halasy-Nagy’s conception, Hungary can be proud of its theoretical and philosophical tradition. It is true that we have not great philosophical systems, but Hungarians have inclination to “make philosophy”. Like historian of philosophy, Halasy-Nagy is very pity for the interruption and breaking of a good and valid philosophical idea or tendency in the Hungarian philosophical tradition. So, in our opinion, for example, there is not a continuity between the two very important thinkers from Kolozsvár: Böhm and Brett er. But nowadays, the situation seems to be changed and philosophers and historian of philosophy began to appreciate the Hungarian philosophical tradition.
