Summary This close regarding the heat deformation is an example for, that during ultraprecision machining the environmental effects as well as during the cutting procedure arising heat and forces must be eminently considered. The introduction contemporaneously calls the attention to the importance of the modelling and measuring on the machine. The models applied for conventional eutting often contain negligences, so the accuracy and scattering of the given results are not suitable for the requested quality and accuracy of ultraprecision cutting. Therefore the models for conventional cutting must be rebuilt for ultraprecision cutting. Exact models must be developed. The measuring on the machine is significant if the allowance is given more cut is impossible. It usually occurs when the final dimension is given and the tolerance rangé is restricted (1-2 jam). The measuring on the machine has a lot of conditions, which make ultraprecision machining more difficult and expensive.
