The importance of logistics has been improved globally particularly in developed countries. Logistics contribution to the GDP is 10-16% in the developed countries which value is under 10% in Hungary. The whole agribusiness is 10-12% of the Hungarian economy. The aim of the research plan is the analysis and evaluation of food supply chains to adapt management methods for the SC members to improve the efficiency of food supply chains. Case studies, Structural Equation Modelling and Value Stream Mapping methods are the means of the analysis. My intention with this publication is to show an example, a research project, to generate debate in order to improve the quality of the scientific planning process.
