A finn építészetben és designban a fa jellegzetesen tradicionális értékként jelenik meg. A finnek kapcsolata a fával sajátos, története mélyről ered. Témaválasztásunk oka a finn építészet, és a fa, mint anyag iránti érdeklődésünk. A mai rohanó, fejlődő világban az emberek nem figyelnek a környezetükre. Elfelejtik, hogy a természet mennyire fontos. A fa használatával erre emlékeztethetjük őket.
The wood, in the Finnish architecture and design, is a distinctly traditional value. The relationship between Finnish people and the wood is particular and its history comes from deep. Our reason for choosing this theme was our interest towards the Finnish architecture and wood, as a material. In our developing and hectic world people do not pay attention to the environment. They forgot that how important it is. By using wood we would like to remind them to the nature. The point of our research is to find out, whether contemporary architecture applies the using of wood from traditional times or not. We examined this through Finnish myths, typical household objects and simple or more complex buildings - looking for different forms of using wood.
