Tartalmi leírás:
Modern telecommunication networks, such as 5G or future 6G mobile systems, require ultra-wide bandwidths and low latencies both in the fronthaul and in the backhaul links (commonly called X-haul or anyhaul). Extremely high data rates and low latencies are expected in several applications. The anyhaul network interconnects the cloud-core and data centers with the subscribers through cell sites. On the one hand, the density of the anyhaul network is continuously increasing. On the other hand the links are getting shorter and shorter as the legacy long-haul microwave hops are systematically replaced by fiber-optical links. In this evolving network scenario radio frequency interference becomes a significant limiting factor in achieving better network level spectral efficiency. This paper discusses analog and digital test methods for image rejection and interference sensitivity tests. It is shown that digital microwave and millimeter-wave receivers can be scanned over a wide frequency range and their interference sensitivity can be determined. The test discussed is based on bit error rate measurements. Having the presented digital (and not analog method), it is not required to open the device under test. Sensitivity tests can be performed by test instruments connected to the accessible radio-frequency and baseband points.
