In my research, I investigate value-added, consumer behaviour and consumer scepticism in relation to consumers of alternative housing in Hungary. In this paper, I briefly describe the current situation of the construction industry in Hungary, alternative housing, the planned scheme and methods of my research, and the concepts and roles of value-added, consumer resistance and conscious consumerism in the field of alternative housing. The paper is an extract from my planned research and aims to provide an insight into the relevance and topicality of the subject.
