A kukorica hibridek vetésidő reakciójára irányuló kísérletet a Debreceni Egyetem Növénytudományi Intézetének Bemutatókertjében állítottuk be 2012–2014. években. A kísérlet két fő vizsgált tényezője a kukorica vetésideje és az alkalmazott biológiai alapok voltak. Ezek együttes hatását értékeltük a termésre, termésbiztonságra és a termesztés hatékonyságára. A három évben a vizsgálat során egyfelől a biológiai alapok évjáratra, vetésidőkre adott válaszreakcióját figyeltük meg. Ez egyrészt jelentette a termőképesség, vízleadás dinamika, betakarításkori szemnedvesség-tartalom vizsgálatát, emellett számos egyéb paraméter került elemzésre. Fenológiai felvételezéseket végeztünk, ahol a növénymagasságot, valamint a hím- és nővirágzás idejét mértük. Célunk számos egyéb vizsgálat elvégzése mellett annak megállapítása is volt, hogy a vetésidő miképpen befolyásolta a kukorica hibridek levélterületének alakulását és fotoszintézisének aktivitását, valamint ezek a tényezők milyen hatással vannak a termésképződésre, a termés alakulására. A fiziológiai érést követően hetente vizsgáltuk a hibridek vízleadás dinamikáját.A minőségi tulajdonságok közül a nyersfehérje-, a nyersolaj- és a keményítő-tartalmakat elemeztük a három vetésidőben. Továbbá betakarítást követően meghatároztuk a termésképző elemek alakulását, úgymint a csőhosszúságot, a szemsorok számát, az egy sorban lévő szemek számát, az ezerszemtömeget és a morzsolási arányt.

The experiment examining the response of maize hybrids to the sowing date took place in the demonstration garden of the Institute of Plant Sciences of University of Debrecen, in years 2012-2014. The two main examined factors of the experiment were the sowing date of maize and the applied biological bases. My main purpose was the assessment of their common effect on the yield, the yield stability and the efficiency of production. During those 3 years of the test, the response of biological bases to the crop year and sowing dates was monitored. That covered, on one hand, the examination of the productive capacity, the dynamics of water release, and the grain moisture content at harvest, and on the other hand, several other factors were analysed. Phenological observations were made, where the plant height and the anthesis and silking were measured.Our aim, along with a number of other examinations, was to detect how the sowing date influences the change of the leaf area and the photosynthetic activity of maize hybrids, and how those factors affect crop formation and the yield. After the physiological ripening the dynamics of the water release of the hybrids were tested weekly. Among quality parameters, the crude protein, crude oil and starch content was analysed with 3 sowing dates. Also, after harvest, we detected how the crop forming elements like cob length, the number of grain rows, the number of grains per row, the thousand grain weight and the shelling rate changed.
